Warping
Warping plays a crucial role in the denim dyeing process by preparing the warp yarns for dyeing.
During the warping process, the warp yarns are wound onto a beam or section beams, which are large cylindrical spools. This allows for efficient handling and feeding of the yarns during the subsequent dyeing process.
The warp yarns are the vertical threads that run parallel to the selvedge edge of the fabric.
Dyeing
Slasher dyeing is a special dyeing technique used in the production of indigo-dyed warp ends for denim fabric. In slasher dyeing, the warp yarns are repeatedly passed through several baths of indigo dye before being sized and wound for weaving.
This process helps to achieve the characteristic blue colour of denim fabric.
